Toshiba announced on July 23, 2011 that it is going to reorganize its storage products businesses, according to the Japan Today. It is reported that Toshiba will merge its Semiconductor Company and Storage Products Company into a new in-house company, dubbed Semiconductor & Storage Products Company, on July 1, 2011. The newly merged company is projected to focus on three business lines, HDD (Hard Disk Drive), SSD (Solid State Drive), and other solid state memories, such as memory cards and NAND flash memories.
